World T'ai Chi & Qigong Day 2026 and

Opening of the QilinGong Centre

with Qigong Master Lin Kai Ting

One World … One Breath

Râșnov | April 25–26, 2026

AN EVENT WITH DOUBLE SIGNIFICANCE

World T’ai Chi & Qigong Day has a special meaning this year in Romania. It is marked by the opening of a new place dedicated to practice, learning, and transformation within the QilinGong school.

On this special occasion, between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM, Master Lin Kai Ting himself will be present in Râșnov, on the valley of Glăjerie river, where the QilinGong Center will be opened.

From here, he will lead a special Qigong practice both for those present and for all his students around the world.

It is a moment of beginning, one we experience together — through practice, breath, and connection.

Join us! When you leave, you will be full of joy, calm, more present and with much more energy.

A GLOBAL COMMUNITY

A new wave of qi will surround the Earth.

All around the world, T’ai Chi and Qigong will be practiced – each in its own way, each school in its own style. The practice will take place between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM, in every country according to its local time zone.

Thus, over the course of 24 hours, our planet will be bathed in a vast ocean of qi.

Come join us! Let’s be united in thought, in one long breath of the Earth.

The practice is led by Qigong Master Lin Kai Ting

The event is guided by Master Lin Kai Ting, founder of the QilinGong school and one of those who carry these practices forward in a form that is both authentic and accessible to the modern individual.

He works with practitioners from all over the world. He has direct experience in teaching Qigong both to complete beginners and to advanced students. He combines tradition with a clear and practical approach, offering participants not just movement, but a deeper understanding of energy, breath, and presence.

His presence brings a unique dimension to this event—one of authenticity, depth, and conscious guidance.

WHAT IS WORLD T’AI CHI & QIGONG DAY

On April 25, 2026, people around the world celebrate the 28th edition of World T’ai Chi & Qigong Day—a global event dedicated to health, harmony, and awareness through practice.

Officially recognized in 2002 by the World Health Organization as part of the “Movement for Health” initiative, this day brings together practitioners from over 80 countries.

The event takes place every year on the last Saturday of April. It begins in New Zealand at 10:00 AM (local time), then moves across Oceania, Asia, Africa, Europe, North America, and South America, with activities in over 80 countries, concluding in Hawaii nearly a full day after it begins.

In this way, people all around the world – both practitioners and beginners – connect in a continuous global flow, contributing to a shared moment of harmony, health, connection, and peace.

In Romania, the event reaches its 25th edition in 2026, organized by the National Qigong Federation together with communities from multiple cities.

The purpose of this day is to bring Qigong closer to people and to offer direct access to the practice – in a simple, open, and authentic way.

As Master Lin Kai Ting says:
Qigong is Chinese, but it belongs to all humanity.

WHY PEOPLE AROUND THE WORLD PRACTICE IT

Originating in China over 7,000 years ago, Qigong can be defined as a system of practices aimed at:

Qigong practice includes a wide variety of techniques – static postures or dynamic exercises, with smooth and harmonious body movements, combined with specific breathing methods and mental focus.

PROVEN HEALTH BENEFITS

Both Qigong and T’ai Chi are traditional practices supported by modern research.
They share the same roots and fundamental principles, based on mindful movement, breathing, and inner balance.

T’ai Chi is often described as a more complex form of “Qigong in motion,” which is why many scientific studies analyze their benefits together.

For the mind

reduce stress and anxiety

improve mental clarity

For the body

increase flexibility and mobility

improve balance and coordination

For overall health

help regulate blood pressure

support the immune system

improve quality of life

Studies conducted by institutions such as Harvard Medical School and research published by the National Institutes of Health confirm the benefits of these practices.
